How to sew
I always wanted to learn how to sew, but for some reason never took the time. Now that I'm looking for a baby mobile, I can't seem to find the 'right' one. I don't like the awful harsh colours, the plastic one's or some of the figures on it.
I want it to be about nature, with natural warm colours. Lovely animals to look at. So, I'm thinking about getting it done myself. With a little help from books and my mum, I think I have a good change to succeed.

Things I Love Wednesday
Love the June strawberries. They are delicious!
Love getting flowers from my in-laws.
Love getting cute clothes for the baby.
Love laundry day, when the whole house smells so nice.
Love thunderstroms and I wish we had more where I live.
Love having the Saturday off and plan nothing special. Just be with my husband and cats, having a nice dull day :)
Love taking care of the neighbours cats, while they're on vacation.

No more fixed gear bike for now
Since I got a baby bump, I feel like I really need to watch my balance. These extra few frontal pounds makes some things more difficult, including getting on and off the bike. I don't feel confident with my bike anymore, so I guess we will meet again this winter... (sigh..)

Things I Love Wednesday
Love feeling my baby move. Until now, I feel him every day, some days all day long and it's such a special feeling.
Love finally getting the house done. We still had some chores to do, but it looks like we're getting them all done before Fall.
Love watching Prison Break again. It's been over five years since I've seen the episodes, but it's still very exciting! I've never watched the last season, because I thought the story had nothing to do with the original storyline anymore. It's sad when the big television bosses only care about getting more money, than knowing when to stop.
Love our new Ipad. It's so handy!
Love the new furniture for the nursery! Can't wait to turn it into a real baby room :)
Love Lamaze class. I think it's a real shortcoming if you don't take them. I'm already more relax about giving birth.
Love the rainy days. Everything smells awesome :)

The place of complains
Dutch people intend to nag A LOT about every little thing. It's one of the reasons why I don't watch a lot of the Dutch programs and dream about working with animals so much.
Complaining and the summer months are like a car and gasoline, one doesn't work without the other. And it all starts on a peaceful spring day, when the sun gives her first big break, when the Dutch get greedy and ungrateful. From that day on, all they want is more sunshine. In Spring, all they complain about is rain, the stormy days, the clouds and how much it looks like Autumn. And even when the sun is shining, it's too warm and sweaty.
But it's Spring. Spring is all about rain and some sun. It's supposed to rain in spring or else all our tulpes won't grow. It HAS to rain. I think it's great when we had one warm week, we get two rainy weeks back. It keeps me going, gives the grass a beautiful green colour, it keeps the warmth out of the house as well for the anoying bugs, and the skies are on their very best. I don't care that much about sun, getting a tan, lay on the beach all day until you're skin gets burned. I feel for the people who drive around the city all day with loud music on and think they're so cool, the bored people on the terrance who are watching people.
We live in the Netherlands. We have some rainy days. Learn to live with it or just kill yourself, but please, do not COMPLAIN.
