Cyclodelic

I'm Dutch, so I'm practical born on a bike. Cycling is part of our everyday life and I can't even imagine a life without. As a biker and a gal, the problem I have is fashion, or you could say the lack of it. It's so hard to find some great cycle-proof outfits with a feminine touch.
But when I was searching around the internet, I found this awesome gal who once had the same fashion problem. She created Cyclodelic, a gorgeous brand for (city) biker gals. (If only I was that good at sewing..)
I've been following them for over a year and LOVE the fahsion!!

This spring I was totally surprised to see Emily Milburn modeling for the same Cyclodelic and found out she's a part of the brand. It's funny, 'cause I know her from the Neighbours days as Caitlin (way back when I watched the show). I loved her acting and was so sad when she left the show way too soon (if you ask me).
Even with the blond hair and the bangs, she isn't changed that much and still looks awesome and healthy. A true inspiration! I think they made a great decision with Emily as 'Glambassador'.

The new Autumn collection looks amazing and I have to have all of them!! :) I only found a few pictures, but the fashion looks beautiful and make me want to cycle right NOW! Can't wait to see the collection online.
You can follow Cyclodelic and Emily's blogs right here.

De-Carb

My life needs a little big change. Sweets, cookies, loads of sugars and carbs have slowly filled my life. I realize it's out of control. Before I'll get fat and create a nasty disease, I need to stop and lose a few pounds for a healthy fruity life.
Starting tomorrow!

So, for two whole weeks, I will live a carb-free life, just to de-carb. Wish me  luck!

College Jacket H&M

All the supermodels whore it, all the college students in the movies & even better, they did in real life and I needed to have one for myself.
Twelve years ago I fell in love with the all American college jacket. Twelve years ago the mission started. I had to find that jacket!

I've searched and searched, nothing in France, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland or the Netherlands. I did find one in Spain and the US, but not in my size.. When I think about it, you could say I've searched all over the world and it left me with nothing... accept for one sad failed mission. I gave it up, moved on and realized I would probably never own one. Until last month. When I was shopping online at http://www.hm.com/, my favorite brand all time! I couldn't believe that MY H&M, the fashion brand I love, I know and owns my closet for about 99%, designed my college jacket. I couldn't believe it was almost sold out and my size was already gone! (you damn H&M animals!!) So I bought a M, hate it, cause I know it's a bit too big for me, but when you see him in real life, it all doesn't matter. I love the jacket so much. It's warm, comfy and sweet. I will never ever turn it off.

White Rabbit 09.09.2010

My rabbit wasn't a nervous wreck like White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland. Mine was the cutest, the best, sweetest, the most awesome rabbit out there. I loved him. There were great times in the garden, a great friendship with my dog and some terrified times with my cats. Now he's just lying there, on his side, cold, gone forever...

I hate dead animals. I only like them alive, happy, healthy, jumping around like they're suppose to.
This morning, when I said goodbye to my sweet rabbit, I saw Grim Reaper in his eyes, waiting to take him away from this world to never return. I saw it coming for some days now, but closed my eyes for it. It's too soon, even 11 years are! But he was alive and I had hope he'd still be here when I returned from work tonight. But nature and Grim Reaper are cruel, so they made him die alone...
This morning, before I left, I thought of putting on some music for him. So he wouldn't feel alone today, but I don't know why... but I didn't. Now I regret how I did things today and wish I could've been there, hold him in my arms while he took his last breath...

Dear rabbit, forever rest in peace. I know you deserved a better life, I guess I've learned from my mistakes. Have fun in rabbit heaven where the grass is greener than green, where the fields have no ending and de carets are even more yummy than here on earth. I will miss you sweatheart...

Lisa Hannigan's Have Yourself A Merry Little

I know I know... it's way too early for the whole Xmas-mood. Officialy it's still summer and I will never skip the fall, ever since I'm seriously in love with the Autumn. But for some reason, in the middle of summer, I always get a little Xmas secret desire... When it's hot and sunny, I think about the snow, freezing cold days, filled with beautiful lights and the awesome winter fashion. I just can't help it!

But moving on to an amazing artist I discovered many years ago and now love with all my heart: Lisa Hannigan. If you have never heard of the gal: You've been missing loads, but that's OK. Cause Lisa's one of the most underrated artists ever, but as a fan, I don't mind. Sounds crazy? Not really. Lisa's style's always been indie and she doesn't really care for the big stage. She's writing, sewing, laughing, loving, making music and I guess that's all she really needs.

Last week, I found her singing 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas' by Judy Garland I believe(?) on Youtube. It's amazingly beautiful. Even my cat seems to be hypnotized with this version. Although, yesterday she was mesmerized with The Blowers Daughter clip, and I'm starting to think it's more the moving vids she's in to, rather than the artists I love... Hmmm.. Well, I like to think we share the same taste in music -so I'm keeping with that story.

Hello There

Hi and welcome to my blog.

I have loads of reasons for starting this blog. Mostly just because I love to collect all sorts of things.
I'll be putting up bits and bobs untill I get bored and find some other place to fill...
