Cat Found!

YES, he's still alive and well, and it's a story that needs some explaining... Last spring, this cat came into our lives and he seemed to like our garden, our attention, our catfood, even our bed where I'd caught him sleeping! Because of his longing for love, his sunburned white ears, his wounded tale and eye, we concluded he was a wanderer. So we took him to the vet, took care of his wounds and even had him castrated. That's how he became part of our family.

Last week, after a long search around the neighbourhood, it turned out the cat was back with his former owner. The guy and his six year old daughter had been very worried about him with the cold winter days.
I do hope they will take better care of the cat, but it looks like they will though.

California dreaming

For some reason, when something big's about to happen in my life, I start having this attractive force for California. I can smell the California air, feel the sun on my skin, feel the warm breeze through my hair and dream about the beautiful sunsets... I haven't had this longing feeling for California in a while, it feels weird and well known. I wish I could go back...

I'm not into electronic music at all, but I do love some Groove Armada songs, especially Hand of Time.

Our poor wanderer is missing...

He's been lost for a few days now, and this just isn't like him. I am hoping he's back at his first owner, who had missed him very much and will treat him very good with all the love they can give him.
But I'm affraid something bad happened to him. Gosh, I hope not! He can be grumpy at times and be mean to our little Jack Bauer, but he can also be so sweet, thankful and I miss him at nights on the bed :(

Things I Love Tuesday

Love my oversized sweaters from the Urban Outfitters. They are ellegant, warm and just lovely.

Love Urban Outfitters, sadly we don't have one in the Netherlands but whenever I'm in the US or Ireland, it's the first shop I go to.

Love planning our next trip to the USA. It will be nice to go back to Bryce canyon and listen to the silence. Or hike at Zion, drive around in the car for hours with beautiful music at the background, watch the most amazing sunsets in the world...

Love Frasier.

Love the fact that we finally got 'Animal Cops' in the Netherlands. Most people don't take animal cruelty serious and laugh a bit when talking about the 'cops', which makes me sick to my stomach. Even the so called green political parties joke around because apperently ego goes before your own vieuws of life.

Love taking care of the birdies and the poor stray cat in these cruel winter days.

Love sharing all sorts of things with friends. It's great to have people in your life that are there for you when you need a shoulder.

Love saving money for Dublin this Christmas and I'm doing so very well.

Today, I still walk around dreaming about the Christmas busk last December. Yesterday, while listening to The Blowers Daughter at work, I suddenly had a huge smile on my face when I remembered running into Damien in Dublin. The memory of his bright blue eyes warms my heart and soul..
God, I miss Dublin...

Things I Love Monday

I love getting my Sex And The City DVD box from the shelf once every four months, and just watch a few disc's. I guess I'm not the typical SATC fan, who loves shoes, knows fashion, and takes the SATC tour in NYC. I'm the SATC fan who loves, loves, loves New York City and loves the smart writing.

Love getting Friday night off.

Love my hubby's back from his buisness trip in Germany.

Love going to the grocery shop in my old little town, and have a small chat with all the nice people I run into.

Love my husband for trying to do laundry. Even though he really sucks at it, I think it's so sweet for trying.
